How to Become a Taxi Driver in My Winter Car – Taxi Job

The Taxi Job in My Winter Car is one of the most chill and immersive ways to earn money in the game. Once unlocked, it gives you a steady flow of income and turns your daily driving into something that actually pays off. You are no longer just cruising around for fun—you are running a real taxi service with real rules, real meters, and real customers waiting on you.

This How to Become a Taxi Driver in My Winter Car – Taxi Job Guide walks you through everything you need to know, from unlocking the job to getting paid correctly without losing money.

How to Unlock the Taxi Job

Before you can start driving people around, you need to officially unlock the taxi work.

Head to the job poster board and look for the Taxi Job poster. On the poster, you will find a phone number. Call that number and then simply wait until the next day.

At exactly 12:00 the following day, you will be invited to attend a meeting. This step is mandatory. You cannot skip it, and without it the taxi job will never become available.

Meeting the Taxi Driver

At 12:00, go to the PSK parking area. This is where you will meet the taxi driver.

During this meeting, the driver explains how the taxi system works and officially gives you access to the taxi car. Think of this as your job interview and onboarding combined. Once this meeting is done, you are officially allowed to work as a taxi driver.

Taxi Car & Map Location

After the meeting, you will gain access to the taxi vehicle.

When you sit in the driver seat, look up at the sun visor. You will find a map tucked there. This map is extremely important because it shows customer address locations. It becomes your main navigation tool, especially if you have not played My Summer Car before and are still learning the map.

Keeping an eye on this map will save you a lot of time and fuel.

Taxi Meter

The taxi is fitted with a taximeter that controls your entire job flow. It has:

• One turnable knob used to select modes
• One clickable button used to start, pause, or stop the meter

When the meter is set to the “-” symbol and the red button is active, you are officially on duty. While on duty, customer calls can come in.

Taximeter Modes Explained

Mode 1

This is the base fee for weekdays during daytime hours. You will use this most often.

Mode 2

This applies from 18:00 to 06:00 and also covers the entire weekend. Night shifts and weekend rides should always be done using this mode.

Mode A

Displays how many kilometers you have driven while the taximeter is active. This is mainly for tracking.

Mode B

Shows your total gross income. This number resets when your salary is paid, so keep an eye on it if you want to track your earnings.

Lotto

The game mentions that you can randomize a lottery line here, but this feature is optional and does not affect your taxi income.

Receiving & Completing Taxi Calls

Once you are on duty, your phone will start ringing with customer requests.

When a call comes in, accept it to receive the pickup location. Drive to the specified address. Before you move the car, set the taximeter to either Mode 1 or Mode 2 depending on the current time and day.

The meter uses different rates when you are stationary and when you are driving, so always make sure it is running properly. You can pause the meter at any time using the clickable button if needed.

Payment & Receipt Process

When you reach the destination, stop the taximeter using the clickable button. The display will show the final fee.

Transfer that exact amount to the payment terminal, accept the payment, and print the receipt.

Be very careful here. If the amount you enter does not match what is printed on the receipt, the game will deduct money from your salary as a penalty. Accuracy matters.

The Taxi Job is a great way to earn consistent money while actually enjoying your driving time. It feels natural, immersive, and rewarding once you get into the routine.
