If you’re collecting every limited-time rod in Fisch, you won’t want to miss the Liberty Line Rod. It’s one of those event-exclusive rewards that you can’t simply buy with C$. Instead, you have to earn it by completing one of the new event challenges.
The good news is that the process isn’t difficult. The bad news is that it takes a bit of patience since you’ll need to finish an entire event Bestiary before the rod becomes available.

How to Unlock the Liberty Line Rod in Fisch
Getting the Liberty Line Rod is fairly straightforward once you know where to start.
First, head over to Fish Fest Island, which was added as part of the Patriotic Seas event. Once you’re there, look around for the 4th of July event area. You’ll find an NPC waiting there who is connected to the Liberty Line Rod reward.
At this point, many players expect to claim the rod immediately, but that’s not how it works.
The NPC will only reward you after you’ve completed one important requirement.
Complete the Patriotic Seas Bestiary
Before the Liberty Line Rod becomes available, you must finish the Patriotic Seas Bestiary to 100% completion.
That means catching every fish included in the event collection.
Depending on your luck and the conditions required for certain fish, this may take a while. Some event fish can be much rarer than others, so don’t be surprised if the final few entries take the longest to obtain.
If you’re planning to get every limited reward from the update anyway, completing the Bestiary is worth the effort.
Return to the Event NPC
After you’ve finished the entire Patriotic Seas Bestiary, head back to the NPC on Fish Fest Island.
Talk to them again, and the Liberty Line Rod will become available as your reward.
Alongside the rod, you’ll also receive a few extra event collectibles, making the grind much more rewarding.

Around 25% of your catches have a chance to receive the Liberty Mutation.
If you’re planning to collect mutation variants or simply enjoy farming event-exclusive fish, this passive gives the rod a nice bit of extra value beyond its stats.
