World 7 is here, and while some of it is tucked away in the patch notes, most players just want to jump in and play. This Idleon World 7 Guide breaks down everything you need to know — from unlocking the world itself to understanding the new systems like trophies, nametags, Codfrey, and the Spelunking skill.
How to Unlock World 7
Before stepping into World 7, you’ll need to revisit the Emperor fight in World 6.
You must defeat the Emperor again in World 6 to unlock access to World 7.
Your IOUs from World 6 do not convert into World 7 orbs — so you’ll have to start fresh on that front.
The Emperor now has significantly reduced HP, making him much easier to defeat. This allows most players to push deeper than before.
Once you’ve earned an orb from the Emperor, head to the far right side of the World 6 town — just past the beanstalk.
Click on the bird NPC to unlock the portal to World 7.
You’ll only need to unlock the portal once per account, but each character must walk there manually the first time to gain access.
World 7 Town
Once you arrive in the World 7 Town, you’ll see several new features and buildings. From left to right:
1. Spelunking Interface
Ignore this for now — it ties into the new Spelunking skill you’ll unlock later through the cave system.
2. Coral Cave
This area is locked initially and can only be opened once you obtain a specific monster drop from a later map. So don’t worry about it until you progress further.
3. Shop
The shop contains several new and notable items:
Kattlecruk Stamp – A cheap and useful purchase. Grab this first.
Replica Trophy and Replica Nametag – Cosmetic versions of the real items. Ignore these for now; they don’t provide stat bonuses.
Other items in the shop are much pricier, so save up before investing heavily.
Codfrey and the New Trophy/Nametag System
Meet Codfrey, the dapper butler fish who introduces a completely revamped Trophy and Nametag System.
Here’s how it works now:
Trophies and Nametags are account-wide bonuses.
You no longer need to equip them — equipping them now does nothing for stats.
Tap Codfrey to open his menu, then click “Offer Nametags to Codfrey.”
You must do this on every character, as nametags in storage are converted automatically.
Stacking System:
-
- Duplicate nametags of the same type stack up to 5, boosting their total bonus.
- For Trophies, you can select one (and later, more) to give additional account-wide bonuses.
If you still want your old cosmetic look:
- Purchase the Replica Trophy or Replica Nametag from the shop — purely visual.
This system is a major quality-of-life upgrade — freeing you from micro-managing cosmetics for stats.
The Whale NPC – Account Level-Based Upgrades
Next, you’ll meet a massive whale NPC who introduces a new account-level-based upgrade system.
The number of points you earn depends on your total account levels.
Each character receives their own pool of upgrade points to allocate.
Available upgrades include boosts to things like:
-
- Super Talents
- Drop Rate
- Damage
- And other major gameplay bonuses
Most players recommend investing early in Super Talents and Drop Rate, as both give immediate and broad benefits.
Super Talents scale with your character level, providing a powerful increase in Talent levels — essential for min-maxing.
Spelunking Skill – New System Overview
The wiggly NPC near the first map portal introduces Spelunking, a brand-new skill.
A tutorial covers most of the basics, but here are key takeaways:
You can earn Spelunking Points offline simply by standing in front of the caves on the monster map.
(Important: this means the cave outside town, not the one inside the town.)
These points are used to explore caves, find treasures, and upgrade various underground nodes.
As you progress through World 7, Spelunking ties into multiple systems — it’s worth investing time in once unlocked.
New Additions to Other Skills
Every major Idleon skill receives new content in World 7:
- Mining: New rock types and ores.
- Choppin: New trees and higher-tier logs.
- Fishing & Catching: Additional locations and materials.
- Alchemy, Smithing, and Cooking: Expanded recipes and items.
Some of these unlock naturally as you progress, while others are tied to events or new map areas.
Sailing Expansion & Pet Battles
World 7 adds:
- A new island and higher-tier Sailing Artifacts to discover.
- An entirely new Pet Battle, plus all existing battles are now easier than before.
- If you’d rather skip Pet Battles entirely, new Cooking Recipes are purchasable directly from the Gem Shop.
Gem Shop Additions
Several new items are now available across the Gem Shop:
- Each World Tab has fresh additions.
- There’s now a dedicated World 7 tab.
- A few limited-time nametags can also be purchased.
Check these periodically — especially the limited ones.
Anvil and Tasks
The Anvil now features new crafting recipes, many of which are unlocked through:
- Drops from older monsters (e.g., Baby Boas)
- Completing certain Task Menu objectives
If you’re unsure where to find new recipes, open the Tasks menu, and click the “Unlocks” button near the top. This interface shows you exactly which monsters or milestones grant new blueprints.
The early parts of World 7 focus on restructuring and quality-of-life systems — trophies, nametags, talents, and passive bonuses.
Don’t stress about optimizing Spelunking right away. It unfolds gradually.
Always check the shop and task unlocks for early power boosts.
Every skill gains something new — take time to explore.
World 7 is about expanding your account’s foundation and setting up for future worlds. Even if you’re not far yet, these systems will pay off massively once you’re deeper into the content.
