Want to dive into InZOI but feeling a bit overwhelmed? This InZOI Beginners Guide will walk you through everything you need to know to start your journey—from creating your first Zoy to managing relationships, making money, and keeping your characters alive. Let’s get started.
InZOI Beginners Guide
Creating Your First Zoy
Your journey in InZOI begins with creating your first Zoy or family. The customization options are extensive—you can adjust their face, hair, skin, makeup, and more. If that feels like too much, presets are available as a starting point.
Craft Tab – Customize outfits or use the 3D printer to create custom objects.
Traits – Each Zoy has unique personality traits that influence relationships, emotions, and needs.
Desired Life Direction (Optional) – Choose a path that aligns with your Zoy’s ambitions, values, and skills, or keep it open-ended.
Once your Zoy is ready, you can start with a single character or create a family of up to eight. Keep in mind that managing multiple Zoys can be challenging, so start small if you’re new to the game.
Navigating the Game
Once in the world, you’ll find menus in the bottom-right corner. The two most important ones are:
- Zoy Card – Tracks progress, ambitions, and preferences.
- Relationships – Keeps records of family, friendships, love interests, and business partners.
Teenagers can’t select life ambitions until they reach adulthood. Completing ambitions will unlock new goals, skills, and opportunities.
Urges & Short-Term Tasks
Your Zoy will occasionally have “urges”—quick tasks with a time limit. Completing them grants emotional rewards and helps keep your Zoy happy. These appear above your Zoy’s face and in the Zoy Card.
Building Relationships
Your Zoy’s relationships fall into different categories—family, love, business, or friendship. As your Zoy interacts with others, new conversation options unlock, sometimes requiring trust-building over time.
Locked relationship details require “key-labeled” conversations to unlock.
Over time, Zoys will become more open about their lives and relationships.
Earning Money in InZOI
Money is essential for buying furniture, paying bills, and keeping your Zoy happy. Here’s how to make money:
- Get a Job – Use your smartphone’s career app to start working immediately.
- Sell Creations – Paintings, digital services, and handcrafted items can be sold via the Pocket Market app or a computer.
- Sell Items – Old books, furniture, and other objects can be resold. You can also set up a secondhand booth.
- Alternative Methods – Loans, lotteries, or even stealing from ATMs (if you’re feeling risky).
If you’re in a pinch, the Scycat guide cheat grants 100,000 meow instantly.
Keeping Your Zoy Alive
Zoys have basic needs that must be met to keep them alive. Access the needs panel next to your Zoy’s icon to check their status.
- Quick Fix – Click an icon to send your Zoy to fulfill that need.
- Emergency Option – Purchase a filling doughnut from the Meow Store using Meow coins earned through ambitions and urges.
- Autonomy Toggle – Enables automatic need fulfillment.
Neglecting needs for too long can lead to fatal consequences—starvation, sleep deprivation, electrocution, or car accidents. If a Zoy dies, family members will mourn, and ghosts may linger if they have bad karma.
Customization & World Building
InZOI offers deep customization for both characters and the world itself.
Build Mode
Design homes using presets or create custom furniture in craft mode.
The 3D printer lets you generate objects using AI images.
Exploring & Editing the City
Your city has multiple locations, including:
Gray House Markers – Empty homes for new Zoy families.
Blue House Markers – Occupied homes (you can take over them).
Purple Markers – Workplaces.
Green Markers – Public areas (editable).
Select Edit City to modify environmental factors like weather, population, city safety, and the overall atmosphere—whether you want a utopian paradise or a dystopian nightmare.
