Boss fights in Medarot Survivors follow a predictable pattern once you understand how the game handles enemy attack cycles. Every boss uses a small pool of core attacks, but the way they combine them—and the speed of their patterns—creates the real challenge.
One important thing to remember is that boss attack speed increases the longer the fight lasts. If you find yourself surviving five or six full attack cycles, it usually means your damage output is too low and the stage may require stronger builds before attempting it again.
Another important detail: bosses can appear multiple times across stages, but their attack patterns never change, whether they appear as a stage boss or a wave boss.
Basic Boss Attack Types
Understanding these core attack patterns will make almost every boss encounter easier.
Swipe
A short melee attack in front of the boss.
Strategy
Move diagonally toward the corner of the marked zone before the attack lands.
Smash
A circular melee attack around the boss.
Strategy
Simply leave the marked area before the impact.
Jump
The boss marks a location, leaps, and performs a Smash on landing.
Strategy
Move away from the marked landing zone.
Bullet
Standard projectile attacks.
Strategy
Keep moving. Bullet patterns differ depending on the boss.
Rush
The boss shows a red arrow indicating charge direction.
Strategy
Wait until the arrow disappears, then sidestep the charge path.
Whack
A short-range frontal attack.
Strategy
Move straight up or down once the attack zone appears.
Medarot Survivors Boss Guide – Attack Types, Strategy
Cyandog
Attack Pattern
Cyandog begins by chasing you for several seconds. After a short pause he fires several moderate-speed bullets. He then performs a Rush attack, followed immediately by a Smash.
To finish the cycle, he pauses again and fires three slow bullets before resetting the pattern.
Strategy
Cyandog is one of the easiest bosses in the game. His movement speed is slow and his attacks leave large openings.
You can safely fight him both at close range and from distance. The safest approach is to stay mobile and deal damage whenever he pauses between attacks.
Coffinbat
Attack Pattern
Coffinbat opens with a Rush attack. After pausing, he moves to the center of the field and spawns six smaller Coffinbat mobs.
While spawning enemies he may perform another Rush attack.
Later in the cycle he spawns another wave of six mobs and follows it with a Smash attack. The cycle ends with a slow pursuit phase.
Strategy
Coffinbat is mostly harmless. His Rush attack is the only real threat.
Avoid the charge path and clean up the spawned mobs quickly so they do not clutter the battlefield. Otherwise the fight is straightforward.
Yuchitang
Attack Pattern
Yuchitang begins with a short pursuit phase before firing four bullets in sequence.
He then performs two Jump attacks back-to-back without pause.
After another short pursuit he fires multiple Gravity attacks in rapid succession.
Strategy
This boss moves slowly and leaves very large gaps between attacks.
Keep moving to avoid the Gravity attacks and take advantage of the long downtime between attack sequences.
Both melee and ranged builds work well here.
Sekizou
Attack Pattern
Sekizou starts with a slow pursuit phase before performing a Rush attack.
After a pause he pursues again briefly and launches missiles that fall from above.
He finishes the cycle with two Smash attacks.
Strategy
Sekizou is one of the easiest bosses to defeat.
The only thing to watch for is the missile drop zones. Avoid standing under them and the rest of the fight becomes trivial.
Keithturtle
Attack Pattern
Keithturtle begins by firing two lasers.
Afterward he slowly pursues the player and repeats this pattern three times.
He then performs a Rush attack followed by a Smash.
Later in the cycle he fires five lasers before restarting the pattern.
Strategy
Keithturtle is easy to kite since he moves slowly.
Just stay mobile to avoid lasers. Movement speed upgrades help significantly because laser hitboxes can sometimes feel slightly inconsistent.
Beast Master
Attack Pattern
Beast Master begins by chasing you while firing bullets.
He then launches several missiles randomly across the battlefield.
Next he fires four sets of triple Gravity attacks.
After that he launches fast laser shots aimed toward you.
He then moves to the center of the field and performs a rotating Gravity attack in circular waves before finishing with a Rush attack.
Strategy
Beast Master is the first serious DPS check in the game.
His attacks are manageable, but the rotating Gravity attack can be tricky.
Two effective strategies:
• Hide behind stage obstacles
• Stand directly underneath him and weave between projectiles
The second method gives you the most consistent damage opportunities.
Peppercat
Attack Pattern
Peppercat begins by pursuing you briefly before performing a Rush attack.
She then attempts a Swipe attack followed by a Jump.
The attack cycle ends with another Rush.
Strategy
Peppercat moves frequently across the screen but does not move very quickly.
Long-range builds are slightly more convenient since you won’t have to chase her as much, but melee builds also work fine.
The main rule is simple: keep moving.
Megalopharos
Attack Pattern
Megalopharos chases you while firing bullets.
After a pause he switches to rapid laser attacks.
Later he moves to the center of the arena and fires lasers in a circular pattern around himself.
After a short delay he repeats the laser barrage in the opposite direction.
He then fires three fast bullets and finishes with a Rush attack.
Strategy
Megalopharos is your first real team composition check.
His speed and laser density make close-range combat extremely dangerous.
Key tips
• Prioritize movement speed upgrades
• Stay near the corners during circular laser attacks
• Always prepare an escape path for the follow-up Rush
Ranged builds are strongly recommended.
Hotei Puushen
Attack Pattern
Hotei Puushen begins with a Rush attack followed by eight bullets.
He then moves to the center of the stage, generates a shield, and spawns a Mini Hotei.
While shielded he fires wide bullet waves.
If the shield survives long enough it disappears automatically before the cycle resets.
Below 50% HP he begins spawning two Minis instead of one, and his bullet waves become faster.
Strategy
This fight is an extremely strict damage check.
If you cannot break the shield quickly, the fight becomes overwhelming.
Important priorities
• Destroy the shield immediately
• Kill Mini Hoteis quickly before they accumulate
• Maintain high damage output
Failing to do so will eventually overwhelm even high-speed builds.
Zero Suicide
Attack Pattern
Zero Suicide begins with slow pursuit followed by a Swipe attack and a delayed Rush.
He introduces a Wide Swipe attack, which requires moving to the top edge of the marked area.
At half health he generates a shield and changes patterns.
He begins using faster pursuits, multiple Wide Swipes, a Jump attack, and finally an Ultra Wide Swipe.
Strategy
The fight relies heavily on reaction speed.
Once you learn the difference between the standard Swipe and the Wide Swipe, the fight becomes manageable.
Fortunately his shield only appears once.
Spatha Regina
Attack Pattern
Spatha Regina opens with a Swipe and then slowly pursues the player.
She performs modified Rush attacks where her arm blade appears beside her.
At half health she moves to the center and causes the blade to orbit her.
During this phase she alternates between Whack attacks, pursuits, and multiple Rush attacks.
Strategy
Watch the blade position carefully.
During the orbit phase, stay close to her body so you remain between her and the blade.
This positioning keeps you safe while still allowing you to deal damage.
Panzer Kreiger
Attack Pattern
Panzer Kreiger pursues you while firing bullets.
He then launches missiles across the battlefield while preparing a Rush attack.
After charging he fires five bullets.
Later he performs a Vulcan-style bullet spray.
Eventually he moves to the center and creates rotating bullet walls while launching missiles.
Below half HP the Vulcan spray becomes longer and wider, and missile patterns increase.
Strategy
Movement speed upgrades help significantly in this fight.
Missiles must be avoided manually since terrain cannot block them.
Bullet walls deal lower damage, so minor hits are survivable if necessary.
Cheerful Bunny 2
Attack Pattern
She begins by slowly pursuing you while dropping random objects.
Afterward she increases drop frequency and performs a Rush.
She may either Jump or trap you inside a carrot circle.
Later she locks the battlefield into a grid formation while objects rain down.
Below half HP she adds a full-screen falling item attack.
Strategy
Constant movement is essential.
During the grid phase stay near the center of the field, where openings are largest.
The biggest danger is getting trapped by carrots while objects are falling.
Blackmail
Attack Pattern
Blackmail begins by spawning two smaller versions of himself.
He then performs Whack and Rush attacks followed by Swipe attacks.
Next he summons Ghost attacks across the battlefield.
At one point he traps you with four Ghost attacks behind you.
Important rule:
Do not move when this happens.
Below half HP he adds instant Jump attacks and faster Ghost patterns.
Strategy
This fight relies heavily on reaction speed and luck.
Ghost attacks can appear with minimal warning, making perfect dodging extremely difficult.
Priorities
• Kill the two smaller Blackmails quickly
• Maintain high speed for repositioning
• Be ready to tank a hit if necessary
Blackmail is widely considered one of the most punishing bosses in the game.
