If you’re tired of randomly swapping outfits and sitting in places hoping a pet pops up, this guide is for you. Every pet follows the same basic logic, but the game never explains it clearly, so here’s the clean version with all the specifics filled in.
You level up, buy the correct outfit pieces, go to the right location, start the correct focus, and wait out the timer. That’s it. No RNG, no hidden choices, no tricks.
On-Together Virtual Co-Working Pet Unlocking Guide
Most pets are locked behind outfits, and outfits are locked behind player level. The pet only starts unlocking if everything is correct at the same time.
That means:
- Correct level
- Correct outfit pieces equipped
- Correct location
- Correct focus or activity
- Staying still until the timer finishes
If one thing is wrong, nothing happens.
Unlock Timers
- Chick: 5 minutes (300 seconds)
- Every other pet: 6 minutes 40 seconds (400 seconds)
You must stay in the activity the entire time. Leaving early resets progress.
Level 0 Pets (Available Immediately)
Cat
Outfit:
- Cat-eyed glasses (glasses)
- Cat tail (tail)
How to unlock:
Go to the Library and start the Read focus. Stay until the timer finishes.
Chick
Outfit:
- None required
How to unlock:
Go to the School and start the Connect focus. This one finishes faster than all other pets.
Level 3 Pets
Rabbit
Outfit:
- Bunny shoes (shoes)
- Carrot backpack (backpack)
How to unlock:
Go to the Canteen and start the Eat focus.
Corgi
Outfit:
- Headband (hat)
- Winged shoes (shoes)
How to unlock:
Go to the Basketball Court and either:
- Start the Exercise focus, or
- Play Basketball
Both work. Just stay put.
Levels 5–10 Pets
Birdy (Level 5)
Outfit:
- Boating yellow hat (hat)
- Rain boots (shoes)
How to unlock:
You can be anywhere, but you must start Fishing. Location does not matter for this one.
Hen (Level 7)
Outfit:
- Egg hat (hat)
- Heart-eyes glasses (glasses)
How to unlock:
Go to Camp and start the Listen focus.
Frog (Level 10)
Outfit:
- Frog sleeping mask (glasses)
- Shirt with clouds (top)
How to unlock:
Go to Meditation Hill and start the Meditate focus.
Levels 13–20 Pets
Capybara (Level 13)
Outfit:
- Instrument gloves (hands)
- Sunglasses (glasses)
How to unlock:
Go to Instrument Hill and actively play the instruments. Simply standing there won’t count.
Red Panda (Level 15)
Outfit:
- Flower hat (hat)
- Star backpack (backpack)
How to unlock:
Go anywhere and start the Art focus.
Penguin (Level 20)
Outfit:
- Graduation hat (hat)
- Monocle (glasses)
How to unlock:
Go to the Garden and start the Write focus.
