There is currently a bug in Quarantine Zone where internal contraband can be completely invisible.
The survivor clearly has something flagged inside them, but you can’t see anything — which makes cavity checks extremely confusing.
This quick guide shows you how to detect and handle invisible contraband correctly.
Quarantine Zone The Last Check Internal Contraband Location- How to See the Invisible
Note: This guide will stop being useful once the developers patch this bug.
Step #1 — Grab Your X-Ray
Always start by equipping your X-ray scanner.
This tool still detects invisible internal contraband even when nothing shows up visually.
Step #2 — Aim at the Body (Chest and Stomach Area)
Point the X-ray at the survivor’s torso.
Watch your tablet screen closely.
If the letter “E” next to “Tag” lights up, that means there is contraband inside them — even if you can’t see anything.
You’ll also hear an audio cue confirming the tag.
Tip: Aim slightly higher or lower around the stomach area. The detection point can be a little inconsistent.
Step #3 — Call the Cavity Searcher
Once tagged, order the assigned cavity searcher to remove the contraband.
If you cannot issue the command, the tag may have glitched.
Simply re-tag the area and try again.
Step #4 — Confiscate Only When Necessary
Not every internal item is illegal.
Some survivors may be holding allowed items.
Confiscate only when you are certain the item is prohibited — wrongful confiscations will penalize you.
Step #5 — Yes, Some Items Are… Questionable
Sometimes you will find very strange things.
Just handle it professionally, clear the survivor, and move on.
No judgment. Just paperwork.
If a survivor seems flagged but you see nothing, trust the X-ray and the Tag indicator — not your eyes.
This bug can make inspections feel broken, but following these steps will keep your scans accurate and your penalties low until it gets patched.
