In Revolgear Zero, extra lives and score items are tightly tied to exploration and quick routing. Many of them are easy to miss because they require fast movement, hidden positioning, or defeating specific enemies.
This guide clearly lists every 1UP and 3UP location stage by stage, along with useful tips to help you grab them consistently.
Stage 1 — Sky of Memories
This opening stage contains only one extra life opportunity.
Early in the level, a specific enemy appears near the beginning. Destroying this enemy drops a 1UP.
Because it appears so early, it’s easy to secure as long as you stay alert and eliminate targets quickly.
Stage 2 — Space Botany Research Lab
This is one of the most rewarding stages for extra lives, containing multiple hidden pickups.
At the very top of the stage, a 1UP is hidden within the green circular terrain patterns. You’ll need to move upward early to reach it.
Later, just before an elite enemy encounter near the bottom of the stage, another 1UP appears. Using Burst invincibility can help you pass through obstacles safely to reach it.
Defeating a specific elite enemy during the stage rewards a 3UP, making this one of the most valuable life sources early in the game.
Near the end of the dragon-themed section, a final 1UP can be found roughly in the middle of the stage path.
Stage 3 — Capital City
This stage contains no extra lives or score items, making it purely a progression and survival segment.
Stage 4 — Orbital Elevator
This stage rewards speed and positioning.
A 3UP can be found on the far left side of the stage, but you must reach it quickly before the scrolling moves past it.
Another 1UP appears on the right side of the stage. You may need to approach from below or use Burst to pass through hazards.
A final 1UP is located at the far right side later in the level.
Stage 5 — Frontline Base
This stage contains three extra life opportunities.
At the top of the stage after passing the last tall door sequence, a 1UP appears. Burst invincibility can help you bypass obstacles quickly to reach it.
During a split path section near the bottom, another 1UP is positioned along the lower route.
Later in the stage, after navigating the second floating metal rock section, a final 1UP can be found along the ceiling.
Stage 6 — Silver Fortress
This late-game stage contains several life rewards tied to combat performance.
After the turret elevator section near the top, a 1UP becomes available.
Defeating a particular elite enemy during the stage grants a 3UP, making this a critical opportunity for life recovery.
Shortly afterward, destroying another enemy yields an additional 1UP.
Stage 7 — To the Future
Like Stage 3, this final stage contains no extra life items.
Additional Mechanics & Difficulty Changes
The behavior of life items changes depending on difficulty settings.
On higher difficulty modes, especially advanced playthroughs, extra lives may be replaced by large score bonuses instead.
For example, in certain modes:
- 1UP items become high-value score rewards
- 3UP items become even larger point bonuses
In Master-level difficulty, multiple elite enemies may appear, each capable of dropping 3UPs, dramatically increasing potential life gains.
Many extra life pickups require fast routing or precise positioning. Missing them often happens because players stay centered instead of exploring the full screen space.
Using Burst strategically is one of the most reliable ways to safely reach hidden areas without taking damage.
Finally, prioritizing elite enemy eliminations is crucial since they frequently drop the most valuable life rewards in the game.
