This guide lists every rune that can be discovered throughout the game. It shows what each rune does and where it can be found. The goal here is simply to display all available runes and their effects so you can see the full range of spell combinations possible.
This guide focuses on the runes themselves, not the exact methods used to obtain them or the situations where they are most useful.
Basic Movement
These runes move objects when your magic hits them, assuming the object can be moved.
PUSH
Pushes whatever the spell hits away from you.
PULL
Pulls whatever the spell hits toward you.
RISE
Launches an object upward into the air.

SLAM
Forces an object downward.
Location: Beach
TWIST
Rotates whatever your magic hits.
Elements & Transformations
These runes transform objects into different substances.
FIRE
Transforms objects into fire. Fire is hot to the touch.
Location: Scarlet Forest
ICE
Transforms objects into ice. Ice surfaces are slippery.
Location: Town
GOO
Turns objects into green goo that behaves like a bouncing surface.
Location: Flooded Library
SMOKE
Transforms objects into pink gaseous smoke. Smoke is light and can be walked through.
Location: Melty Mountain
NULL
Returns an object to its original form.
Location: Beach
Machines
These runes create devices that cast spells automatically.
DUMMY
Creates a straw dummy that casts spells using the same runes used to create it.

TILE
Places a magical tile that casts a spell whenever someone steps on it.
Location: Scarlet Forest
SENSOR
Creates a golem that casts spells when an object enters its line of sight.

SEQUENCER
Creates an automaton that casts runes one after another in sequence.
Location: Music Hotel
PROXY
Creates a magical hand that casts the same spell at the same time as Rhell.

Delayed Activations
These runes attach to objects and activate spells when specific conditions are met.
ON CHANGE
Activates when the object moves between ground and air.

ON INTERACT
Activates when the object is interacted with.
Location: Gahrtz’s Shop
ON SPELL
Activates when the object is hit by another spell.
Location: Rat Shop
ON LONELY
Activates when nothing is nearby.

ON TOUCH
Activates when something touches the object.
Location: Beach
Time Adjustments
These runes manipulate time itself.
WAIT
Delays when a spell activates.
Location: Flooded Library
SPEED UP
Speeds up the passage of time.
Location: Suspended Springs
SLOW DOWN
Slows the passage of time.
Location: Suspended Springs
REWIND
Freezes an object and then reverses it through time.
Location: Suspended Springs
Spell Form
These runes change how a spell is cast.
STREAM
Turns spells into a flowing liquid stream. Holding the cast button continues the stream.

BEAM
Casts spells as a laser beam. Holding the cast button keeps the beam active.

CLUSTER
Splits a spell into multiple smaller spells.
Location: Rat Shop
SELF
Targets the spell on the caster.
Location: Reefed Refuge
TRACKING
Causes the spell to automatically seek a target.
Location: Melty Mountain
AREA
Creates a large bubble where spells repeatedly affect anything inside.

Size Adjustments
These runes alter the size of objects.
SHRINK
Reduces the size of an object.
Location: Reefed Refuge
GROW
Increases the size of an object.
Location: Melty Mountain
Other Runes
These runes have unique effects that do not fit into other categories.
LIFE
Brings objects to life.
Location: Jar Town
MAGNETIZE
Gives objects magnetic properties.
Cast once to make objects attract, or twice to make them repel.
Location: Scarlet Forest
PORTAL
Turns objects into portals that connect to each other.
Location: Flying Factory
DUPLICATE
Creates a copy of an object. Only two copies of the same object can exist at one time.

REMOVE
Deletes an object. If the object is affected by magic, the magic is removed instead.

CAREFULLY
Reduces the intensity of other rune effects.

RANDOM
Casts a completely random spell.
Location: Gahrtz’s Shop
Story Rune (End-Game)
This rune is tied directly to the main story and appears near the end of the game.
VOID
Makes other rune effects stronger and more intense.
