Sephiria is a roguelike dungeon crawler that looks simple on the surface but hides deep systems, powerful builds, and permanent progression mechanics under the hood. If you have just started playing, this guide will walk you through everything you need to know to survive your early runs, build stronger characters, and unlock the game’s most important features.
Sephiria is a tower-climbing roguelike where each run sends you through procedurally generated dungeon floors filled with enemies, loot, upgrades, and bosses. You grow stronger through Artifacts, Tablets, Miracles, and permanent Destiny Inscription upgrades. Death is expected, and every run improves your account progression.
The real goal is not just reaching the top, but slowly shaping your perfect build across multiple runs.
Stats
Understanding stats early will dramatically improve your survival rate.
HP and MP
HP is your life. If it reaches zero, the run ends.
MP is used for spells, special attacks, and blocking with shields. MP regeneration determines how fast it recovers.
Damage Types
There are four main elemental damage types: Physical, Fire, Cold, and Lightning.
Your weapon and spells multiply these base values to calculate final damage. Increasing these stats directly boosts your overall damage output.
Defense and Evasion
Defense reduces incoming damage.
Evasion gives you a chance to completely avoid damage.
Both become less efficient at higher values, so stacking them too heavily gives diminishing returns.
Critical Chance and Critical Damage
Critical chance lets your attacks deal bonus damage.
Critical damage increases how much bonus damage you deal when a crit happens.
Speed Stats
Attack speed increases how fast you attack and cast.
Movement speed increases how fast you travel.
Dash recovery speed controls how fast your dashes recharge.
Economy Stats
Barter improves shop prices.
Luck increases the chance of higher rarity items dropping.
Experience Drop increases leveling speed.
Leaf Drop increases how much currency you earn.
Dungeon
Every floor follows a consistent structure:
You start in a safe room.
You choose one of three paths (called nodes).
Each path leads through rooms and ends with a boss.
After beating the boss, you move to the next floor.
Starting from the second floor, every starting room contains a fixed store where you can shop and test damage on a training doll.

Artifact Nodes
Let you choose a powerful passive upgrade.
Tablet Nodes
Improve the level of your existing Artifacts.
Anvil Nodes
Upgrade your weapons.
Green Heart Nodes
Increase your maximum HP.

Miracles
A Miracle is a powerful special effect you can only take once per run.
Each Miracle can dramatically alter your build direction. Some boost damage, others give survival tools, and some grant rare items.
Choosing the right Miracle often defines whether a run becomes strong or collapses later.
Destiny Inscription
Destiny Inscription is Sephiria’s long-term upgrade tree. You unlock it with Sapphires earned after dying.
This system lets you:

Increase inventory size
Gain starting money
Increase HP and MP regeneration
Gain starting potions
Unlock reroll dice
Unlock new Artifacts
Improve XP gain
These upgrades permanently improve every future run and are the main reason your character gets stronger over time.
Costumes
Costumes change your starting stats and sometimes your starting items. Some are unlocked by default while others require special achievements.
