Welcome, adventurer, to the definitive field Backroom Company Guide for surviving the endless dread of the Backrooms. From calculating loot values to outsmarting horrifying anomalies, this guide contains everything you need to know, compiled from hours of painful (and sometimes fatal) trial and error.
Level 0: Hotel Lobby
Entities
- Moths – Harmless unless you touch their toxic mist. Just don’t breathe too deep near them.
- Roaches – Harmless… until they rob you. Steal items from your hotbar. Kill with crowbar.
- Mr. Cleaner (Sweeper) – Chill. Just here to mop the horrors. Don’t hurt him.
- Dogs / Hounds – Nightmare fuel. Killable with one shotgun shell. Dodge or run.
- Slenderman – Snap a photo, don’t approach. Watch long enough and he vanishes.
- Bacteria – Unstoppable. Avoid at all costs.
- Little Girl – Hide in lockers when she counts down. That’s the only way to survive.
- Spitter – Immobile, but fires corrosive spit. Unkillable. Avoid.
- Hat Man – Run or manipulate his behavior. He turns passive if you get close repeatedly.
- Parasites – Former scientists. Blind, hunt via sound. Walk silently past or blast once with a shotgun.
- Smiler – You see a grin? Run to the light or into a locker. They own the darkness.

Entities
Coming Soon – Stay tuned for full documentation on new enemies like “The Frog,” and aquatic anomalies.
Loot Table & Sell Prices
Work in progress. Poolroom loot tends to be slightly higher in value than Hotel levels. Prioritize unique objects like glowing vials or submerged briefcases.
Anomalies
Expect weird water physics, flooded lockers, and slow-motion time pockets. Screenshots recommended for reporting.
Final Notes
- Always keep a crowbar and at least one camera.
- Prioritize USBs and Clovers for high-value returns.
- Don’t trust any smiling face in the dark.
- Document everything. It might just save your life—or your paycheck.
