Duet Night Abyss Tier List – Best Characters & Skills

Duet Night Abyss has shifted to a more balanced system where character performance depends on synergy, timing, and how well players utilise each ability rather than just raw stats.

Despite this, certain characters still stand out for their exceptional consistency, fluid mechanics, and strong utility across all content types. Below is the complete Duet Night Abyss Tier List, ranked from Tier S to Tier C, reflecting the current 2025 meta balance.

Duet Night Abyss Tier List – Best Characters

Tier S

ZhilIu

Zhiliu is a top-tier Electro DPS who focuses on switching between offense and defense using her Talismans. She fights with a Greatsword or Dual Pistols, and every attack adds a Talisman — Zhen for damage and Xun for defense. Depending on how many you have, her ultimate changes into different forms.

She can blast enemies with Thunder’s Oracle Peal for single-target burst, create a damaging field with Myriad Things Thrive, or boost her own power with Fortune’s Clarity. This makes her super flexible in any fight — she can handle both bosses and groups easily.

Her passive helps her keep Talismans up constantly, so timing her attacks right makes a big difference. Once you start upgrading her, Zhiliu becomes even better at buffing teammates and dealing Electro burst damage. She fits best in Electro-based teams but can also carry solo because her damage scales hard with good rotations.

Yuming

Yuming is one of the strongest Electro damage dealers in the game. He uses a Polearm and Assault Rifle and focuses on aerial attacks and high-speed combos. His skill Precipitous Thunderfall lets him jump up and slam down with massive AoE damage, and his ultimate Grimscales puts him in a special state where he’s immune to knockback and constantly deals Electro hits around him.

While in this state, he builds Reverse Scales, which boost his attacks and can be spent to unleash Starstorm Descent, a powerful plunge that also buffs teammates’ skill damage. The longer he stays active, the more dangerous he gets.

His passive reduces enemy Electro resistance with each skill, so his damage keeps scaling during fights. With upgrades, he becomes both a hard hitter and a solid team buffer. If you like fast-paced combos, huge slams, and flashy lightning bursts, Yuming is the perfect main DPS.

Hilda

Hilda is a Pyro DPS who fights with her mechanical turrets called Dirtexpellers. She can switch between Dual Blades and a Grenade Launcher, but her main strength comes from her skill Pyrolytic Cleaning, which makes her turrets spin and fire continuous flames around her.

Her ultimate Wholehearted Service summons even more turrets and disarms enemies, making her great for clearing big groups. You can have up to six Light Dirtexpellers active at once, which means tons of auto-firing Pyro damage everywhere.

Her passive keeps her weapons reloaded and boosts attack speed after dodging, letting her stay aggressive without worrying about downtime. Hilda works best when you keep her moving and surrounded by enemies — she’s built for area control and consistent Pyro damage. With the right upgrades, she becomes a walking flame thrower that never stops firing.

Truffle and Filbert

Truffle and Filbert are a support duo who mix healing, damage, and mobility. Truffle commands her companion Filbert to charge forward and deal Anemo damage using Trotters Trot-Trot, which also heals allies and gives a temporary attack boost. When she mounts Filbert, she can hold the skill for a continuous charge that hits hard but drains Sanity quickly.

Their ultimate Tummy Full, Hands Full lets Truffle ride Filbert full-time, dealing damage just by moving while building Passion for Work — a stamina-like meter that keeps her mounted. As long as it’s active, she’s a moving tank that can crush enemies and heal teammates.

Her passive gives stacking buffs the longer she moves, increasing both her damage and defense. Truffle and Filbert are amazing for keeping your team alive while still dealing decent damage. They work best in teams that fight in open areas, where Filbert can charge freely and heal everyone around.

Fushu

Fushu is a Hydro support who focuses on healing and boosting team damage. She summons Yunchi spirits using Subcelestial Solace, which attack enemies and heal nearby teammates at the same time. You can have up to three of them active with upgrades, making her great for sustained fights.

Her ultimate Holistic Harmony deals Hydro damage in an area, gives everyone a shield, and boosts attack speed. It also activates Nine-Needle Therapy, which increases her team’s skill damage for a short time.

Fushu’s passive boosts skill speed every time a skill is used — by her or her teammates — so her whole team becomes faster over time. She’s perfect for aggressive teams that rely on skill damage. Once upgraded, she becomes one of the best healers in the game, offering shields, attack boosts, and constant healing all in one package.

Truffle and Filbert

Truffle and her loyal companion Filbert are the heart of The Elysian Church’s support lineup. Unlike pure healers, this duo combines mobility, healing, and damage boosts through their Anemo-based abilities. Truffle fights with a Polearm or Bow, but much of her power comes from commanding Filbert on the field.

Their main skill, Trotters Trot-Trot, sends Filbert charging forward in a wide path of Anemo damage, healing nearby teammates and increasing their attack power. When mounted, Truffle can hold the skill to maintain a continuous charge — a high-risk, high-reward move that burns through Sanity but delivers enormous area damage.

Their ultimate, Tummy Full, Hands Full, turns Truffle into a mounted powerhouse with a regenerating gauge called Passion for Work, allowing her to deal damage simply by moving. Her passive Chop-Chop, Commissaries! grants stacking buffs that increase both offense and defense the longer she stays active, making her incredibly tanky for a support unit.

Her upgrades strengthen her HP scaling and duration, while Introns allow her to share a percentage of her Max HP as Attack boosts to allies. With proper timing, Truffle and Filbert maintain constant healing, boost damage output, and even improve team resilience. They’re a reliable, self-sustaining pair who keep the team alive and fighting at full strength.

Tier A

LYNN

Lynn is a really strong Pyro DPS unit who focuses on stacking damage over time through her gun mode. Her main skill Deadly Blossom applies a burn-like effect called Laceration that builds up the more you attack, and when it ends, it explodes for huge damage. Her ultimate Gunpowder Revelry lets her pull out dual rifles and fire non-stop, gaining attack speed the longer she keeps shooting. You can’t move while using it, but the damage is worth it.

She works great when you have characters that can group enemies or hold them in one place so she can keep firing safely. Lynn also hits harder when enemies are already low on HP, so she’s great at finishing off tougher targets. If you want consistent, fast damage and don’t mind staying still during your burst, Lynn is one of the best Pyro picks right now.

RHYTHM

Rhythm is an Electro DPS who’s all about speed and movement. Her skill Volt Rush makes her leap forward and slice through enemies, while her ultimate Electro Vortex zaps everything around her and links enemies together with electric charges. The charges pull enemies toward each other and deal extra AoE damage, which makes her great for crowd fights.

She can also turn her Sanity into Electric Energy that boosts her damage and skill effects, so you need to manage that balance while fighting. Rhythm shines when she’s in the middle of enemies, constantly moving and chaining attacks. Pair her with characters who can take hits or hold enemies in place — she’ll clean up fast once her vortex starts chaining.

DAPHNE

Daphne is a healer and support unit who can keep your team alive while weakening enemies at the same time. Her skill Emerald Effusion creates a mist that heals teammates inside it and slows any enemies caught in it. Her ultimate Repulsion Synthesis gives a big heal and buffs your team’s attack, while enemies nearby get immobilized and take DoT damage.

She’s perfect for teams that like to stay close together and fight in one area. Keep her mist active near the frontline to heal constantly, and use her ult right before your team goes for big damage. Daphne doesn’t deal much herself, but her sustain and control make fights much easier to win.

PHANTASIO

Phantasio is a pure Umbro damage dealer who becomes a monster once he enters his Bestial Fury mode. His basic skill Recitativo builds up stacks called Adagio, and once he has enough, he can trigger his ultimate Curtain Up to go into a frenzy of claw attacks that hit multiple times for huge burst damage.

He plays best when you build up your stacks first, then activate your fury for maximum output. His attacks get faster and stronger the longer he fights, so timing is key — don’t waste his ult on small groups. Phantasio is best used as your main DPS with supports that can buff his attack or keep him alive while he’s in his fury mode.

REBECCA

Rebecca is a Hydro summoner who deals steady damage with her jellyfish-like minions called Aurelia Aurita. These summons automatically attack nearby enemies and apply Poison of Love, a DoT effect that spreads to other enemies when the first one dies. Her ultimate Lada Lovedew hits harder based on how many poison stacks are active, so the more you spread them, the stronger she gets.

She’s amazing for longer fights where enemies keep spawning or group up close. Once her poison spreads, everything melts fast. Rebecca is best used with characters who can group enemies together or apply crowd control — that way, her poison spreads easily and her AoE damage keeps climbing.

FINA

Fina is a support character who sets up a “Tea Party” field that gives your team elemental buffs and deals steady damage. Her skill On a Warm Afternoon, slows enemies, and her ultimate, Let the Tea Party Begin! creates a field where you can switch between different elemental bonuses — Hydro, Pyro, Electro, or Anemo — depending on your team setup.

Fina’s biggest strength is flexibility. You can change her Tea Party element to match what enemies are weak to, and it boosts your team’s damage at the same time. The longer the fight goes, the more buffs she stacks through her passive, which keeps increasing her and her team’s overall power. She’s best used in balanced teams where everyone benefits from elemental boosts.

Yale and Oliver

Psyche

Tier B

Outsider

Outsider is an Anemo DPS built around stealth and fast attacks. His main skill Stealthy Prowl lets him go invisible and set up surprise attacks with Fang Spikes. When he exits stealth or reuses the skill, the spikes fly out and deal AoE damage to nearby enemies.

His ultimate Predator’s Pounce puts him in Relentless Hunt mode — he trades some of his HP for a powerful Ultra Shield and gains attack speed and malaise (damage over time) buffs. While in this state, he can’t be healed, but all healing he would receive turns into shields, letting him stay aggressive without worrying about dying instantly.

Outsider’s passive makes him launch spikes whenever he’s hit, so even when under pressure, he still deals damage back. He’s a great solo DPS who rewards risky play — go stealth, build spikes, then burst everything down when you activate your hunt. He’s best paired with healers or shielder supports who can keep him safe while his HP drains during his ultimate.

Hellfire

Hellfire is a Pyro bruiser who deals damage by taking damage — literally. Her skill Raging Inferno puts her in Retribution mode, which burns everything around her every two seconds. If she takes damage while in this mode, the duration extends and the burn effect gets even stronger.

Her ultimate Cage of Despair deals a big burst of Pyro damage and taunts enemies, forcing them to attack her. This makes her perfect for holding aggro while continuously dealing damage. Her passive keeps her HP high by constantly healing herself, and since her damage scales with HP, building tanky stats actually increases her damage.

Once upgraded, Hellfire becomes a frontline powerhouse that burns everything nearby while barely going down. She fits best in teams that can heal or shield her, letting her stay in Retribution mode longer. If you like tanky brawlers that dish out punishment just for being attacked, Hellfire’s your go-to pick.

Tabethe

Tabethe is a Hydro support who fights using summoned Tentacles to deal damage and control enemies. Her skill Tabethe’s Specialty orders all Tentacles to attack at once and gives her team a Hydro damage boost. Her ultimate Brawl for Justice! summons a circle of Tentacles that slap enemies around and can immobilize up to two targets each, making her great for crowd control.

Her passive gives her a chance to spawn Tentacles automatically whenever she lands a critical hit with a ranged weapon. These Tentacles keep attacking and holding enemies down, and with upgrades, she can have a huge army of them active at once.

Tabethe isn’t the strongest in raw numbers, but she makes fights way easier by keeping enemies locked down and constantly chipping away at their HP. She’s best used in team comps that rely on DoT or AoE since her Tentacles group and control mobs very effectively.

That wraps up the Duet Night Abyss Tier List (October 2025 Update). While every character in the game can perform well with the right setup, the ones in Tier S stand out for their strong skills, consistent damage, and team value. Zhiliu, Yuming, Hilda, Truffle & Filbert, and Fushu dominate the current meta thanks to their reliable performance and flexibility across different content.

Tier A units like Lynn, Phantasio, Rebecca, Rhythm, Daphne, and Fina are still very strong choices and can easily compete with higher tiers when built properly or paired with the right teammates. The lower tiers mainly require more specific team setups or gear to shine but can still be fun and effective for casual players.

As the game continues to update and balance new characters, expect the meta to shift — future patches may bring buffs, nerfs, or even new mechanics that shake up this list. For now, focus on units that fit your playstyle. Whether you enjoy high burst DPS, constant healing, or hybrid supports, every unit in Duet Night Abyss has something unique to offer when played right.
