Grow a Garden Fairy Update Part 2 – New Codes, Fairy World

The Fairy Event Part 2 update is one of the largest additions ever added to Grow a Garden. With it comes a brand-new explorable world, new crafting items, a rare currency system built around catching fairies, and several exclusive pets, seeds, and cosmetics. If you’re not sure where to start or what to focus on, this guide covers everything step-by-step.

Grow a Garden Fairy Update Part 2 – New Codes, Fairy World

How the Fairy World Works

Every 30 minutes, a portal will open somewhere on the map. When it appears, you can walk into it to enter the Fairy World — a limited-time area that stays open for 10 minutes.

Inside the Fairy World, you’ll find:

  • Floating platforms with collectible orbs that give you rewards.
  • Easier access to roaming fairies.
  • Four different NPC shops that trade rare items for either Fairy Points or Fairy Jars.

If you’re already inside when the portal timer ends, you can stay in the Fairy World. This lets you take more time to explore and collect items — unless this behavior gets patched later.

How to Catch Fairies

To catch roaming fairies, you must craft and use Fairy Nets.

Fairy Net Recipe

  • 1 Picked Sunbulb
  • 1 Strawberry Seed
  • 1 Harvest Tool
  • 100 Fairy Points

You can craft Fairy Nets at the second crafting bench located in the Fairy Event area. Each net takes 30 seconds to craft. Every time you catch a fairy, you receive a Fairy Jar. These jars are required for most event rewards and crafting.

You’ll need to craft dozens, even hundreds, of nets if you want to unlock everything in the update.

Fairy Crafting Items

At the same bench where you make Fairy Nets, you can also craft:

  • Fairy Caller – Summons a roaming fairy.
  • Fairy Targeter – Highlights fairies on the map.
  • Fairy Summoner – Triggers a full fairy wave.
  • Fairy Power Extender – Increases the duration of the next Fairy Wave.
  • Luminous Wand – Turns the next Fairy Wave into a Luminous version.
  • Glimmering Radar – Tracks glimmering fairies.

These tools all help with catching fairies or improving the quality of your harvests.

The AFK Method (Passive Catching)

One trick that works well is standing near the Fairy Godmother NPC and using an auto-clicker. Many fairies fly through this path as they enter and leave your garden, and you can catch them automatically this way. This method is ideal for building up Fairy Jar count passively, especially overnight.

All Fairy World Shops

Inside the Fairy World, there are four unique NPC shops:

1. Lumina (Main Event Shop)

Sells:

  • Enchanted Chest (25,000 Fairy Points)
  • Luminous Wand
  • Luminous Mutation Spray
  • Luminous Sprite pet (requires catching up to 3,000 fairies)

You can also submit 100 Fairy Jars to this NPC in exchange for a bonus item like an Enchanted Chest.

2. Elder Wisp Caretaker (Pet Shop)

Sells:

  • Wisp Pet
  • Drake Pet
  • Pet Shards

All purchases require Fairy Points.

3. Elder Wisp Architect (Cosmetic Shop)

Sells:

  • Enchanted Crate
  • Glimmering Crate
  • Wisp Well (required for the Wisp pet passive to work)

4. Elder Wisp Gardener (Seed Shop)

Sells:

  • Enchanted Seed Pack
  • Pixie Fern
  • Untold Bell

These plants are exclusive to the event and have high sell values, but very long grow times.

New Seeds in the Update

Seed Name Where to Get Sell Value (Approx) Notes
Emerald Bud Enchanted Chest Up to 4 million (with buffs) Common but scales well
Pyroanther Enchanted Chest ~110,000 shekels Visually impressive
Pixie Fern Seed Shop 169k – 259k shekels Easy to get, short grow time
Untold Bell Seed Shop Up to 259k shekels Takes ~9 hours to grow
Aether Fruit 1% Chest Drop ~90,000 shekels Rare, slow to grow

All seeds grow faster with boosts like Windstruck or pet abilities.

New Pets and Their Passives

Cardinal

Makes magical-type plants grow 1.5x faster.

Shroomie

Boosts plant size based on how many fungus-type plants are in your garden. With enough mushrooms, this may rival the Moon Cat if stackable.

Phoenix

  • Pets from the Pet Mutation Machine come out with +1 to +5 age.
  • Every 6 minutes, applies Flaming Mutation to 4 random fruits.
  • Fruits passed have a ~20% chance to mutate as well.

Drake

  • Breathes fire on cooking kits.
  • Boosts cooking speed by 12.86%.
  • Only one Drake can be active at a time.

Wisp

  • Requires the Wisp Well cosmetic.
  • Boosts XP gain for all pets by 0.94 XP/second.

Luminous Sprite

  • Applies Luminous Mutation every 15 minutes.
  • This mutation has a 50x value multiplier, making it one of the best in the game.

Mini Achievements (Garden Guide)

There is now a new Mini Achievements tab in the Garden Guide. These are event-specific and reward you with:

  • Fairy Fence (cosmetic)
  • 5x Enchanted Chests
  • Pet Shard (Luminous)
  • Wish Fountain

There are 16 total objectives. Most are simple and tied to basic event participation.

Updated Daily Quests

Daily Quests now build up toward a ladder of rewards:

  • Complete 3 quests in a day = 1 milestone
  • Reach 7 milestones = earn the Gardener Seed Pack

At the time of writing, the content of this seed pack is unknown, but it’s likely an event-exclusive item.

Mutation Log in Garden Guide

You can now view mutation types, sources, and multipliers in the Garden Guide > Mutations tab. This helps you track valuable mutations like:

  • Luminous (×50)
  • Clay (×5)
  • Chilled (×2)

Use this to plan what seeds or fruits to mutate for max profit.
