Habbo Hotel Origins Fishing Guide (2025 Update)

Fishing in Habbo Hotel Origins is a relaxing yet rewarding side activity where players can cast lines, earn XP, collect rare items, and climb their way up the angler ranks. Found across public zones, these Fishing Spots are marked by a wooden fish sign and animated swimming fish shadows.

Through fishing, players can:

  • Earn XP to increase their Fishing Level.
  • Upgrade their Fishing Rod for better catches.
  • Collect Fish Tokens to buy exclusive, non-tradable rewards from the Fishing Store.

A higher Fishing Level unlocks new fishing zones and better fish varieties, while an upgraded rod improves XP multipliers and your chances of catching Golden Fish during the Hook Havoc mini-game.

Objective & Requirements

This Habbo Hotel Origins Fishing Guide will help you master the Fishing skill in Habbo Hotel: Origins — from finding your first fishing zone to catching rare Golden Fish and claiming unique collectibles.

Requirements

To start your fishing journey, make sure you have:

  • Access to public Fishing Zones (start at Infobus Park)
  • Level 30 to unlock Port Hana
  • Level 70 to unlock Snouthill Pier

Once you’re set, all that’s left is to grab your rod and start casting.

Fishing Zone Locations

Fishing Zones are spread across various public spaces. Each location is tied to a level range and offers progressively better fish and XP rewards.

Zone Level Range Description
Infobus Park Levels 1–29 Your beginner zone. Learn the basics and earn enough XP to reach level 30.
Port Hana Levels 30–69 Mid-tier fishing area with better XP, rewards, and Golden Fish chances.
Snouthill Pier Level 70+ The ultimate endgame fishing spot with top-tier catches and exclusive statues.

Tip: If you can’t find fish immediately, wait a few seconds near the fishing sign — new fish spawn in waves.

Step 1: Head to Your Fishing Zone

Starting Out (1–29):
Head to Infobus Park. Look for the wooden fish sign and fish shadows in the water — that’s your fishing zone.

Mid-Level (30–69):
Once you reach level 30, move to Port Hana for higher-tier fish and faster XP gain.

Advanced (70+):
Unlock Snouthill Pier for rare fish, unique trophies, and the ultimate fishing challenge.

Step 2: Start Fishing

Approach the swimming fish shadows and left-click to cast your line. Your character will automatically begin fishing, and each catch will display the fish’s name and XP gained.

What You Can Catch:

  • Regular Fish (for XP and tokens)
  • Frogs (rare finds)
  • Golden Fish (via Hook Havoc mini-game)

Factors Affecting Catches:

  • Time of day (day/night variations)
  • Day of the week
  • Seasonal events
  • Fishing Zone location

As your level increases, you’ll notice better XP rewards and higher-value catches.

Step 3: Keep Fishing Until the Spot is Done

Once you start fishing, your character will continue until the current fishing spot is depleted. When your rod disappears, it means the zone has run out of fish.

At that point:

  • Move to another part of the same zone or travel to a different zone.
  • Fishing spot duration is random — it could end after one fish or several.

Just keep repeating this loop: Find → Fish → Move → Repeat to progress steadily through levels.

Hook Havoc: Golden Fish Mini-game

Occasionally, you’ll trigger a special mini-game called Hook Havoc — a quick skill challenge that rewards Golden Fish if completed successfully.

How It Works:

  • Use Q (left) and E (right) to keep the tension arrow centered.
  • The bar must fill up before time runs out.
  • Avoid overcorrecting — tap the keys lightly instead of holding.

Outcomes:

  • Success: You catch a Golden Fish and earn bonus XP, extra tokens, and a visible Golden Fish trophy that hangs on your rod.
  • Fail: The fish escapes, but you can resume fishing immediately.

The difficulty of Hook Havoc varies each time, so stay sharp.

Fishing Frenzy Event

At random times of the day, a Fishing Frenzy event begins — the most profitable fishing window in the game.

Event Highlights:

  • Duration: 10–15 minutes
  • Only Golden Fish appear during this period
  • XP and Token rewards are significantly boosted

When a Frenzy starts, fish continuously for the entire event. It’s your best opportunity to gain levels quickly and stack up Fish Tokens for rare store rewards.

Rewards & Collectibles

1. Fish Tokens & Store

Earn Fish Tokens with every catch and spend them in the Fishing Store for exclusive furni and items — like the famous Fishing Hat.

  • All rewards are non-tradable, meaning they’re unique to you.
  • Some items may rotate with future updates.

2. Fishing Badge

An exclusive badge can drop randomly as you fish. You can only earn it once — a permanent mark of your dedication to the Fishing skill.

3. Fishing Bottles

Ten unique collectible Fishing Bottles can appear while fishing. Each is one-of-a-kind and non-tradable, making them highly desirable collector’s items.

4. Fish Statues

Show off your achievements with rare Fish Statues, each tied to a specific location:

  • Bronze Statue: Found at Infobus Park
  • Silver Statue: Found at Port Hana
  • Gold Statue: Found at Snouthill Pier (very rare)

These act as trophies — you can’t trade them, but they’re perfect for displaying your fishing mastery in your room.

Fishing in Habbo Hotel: Origins is more than a casual pastime — it’s a full-fledged progression system with unique collectibles, challenging mini-games, and rewarding events. Whether you’re after the exclusive furni or the prestige of the Gold Fish Statue, patience and timing will always pay off.
