How To Play
“Your basic guide to beating the game! Shouldn’t be too hard to follow, right?”
GOAL – Reach 80km and Lower the Bridge
At the beginning it gives you a semi-basic guide on how to sell and buy things along with fueling items. That comes in handy later when you start looting buildings.
Along the tracks as you ride the train, you’ll notice some buildings that may or may not have zombies inside of them. When the zombies are cleared, or if you managed to lure them away somehow, then you can search the building. There are several types which all have their own category, but they all typically have items that you can grab and weld onto the train.
Every 10km or so you’ll encounter a fort, these are your little “checkpoints” where you can sell and buy items. Coal is a good resource to stock up on, ammo too so don’t be afraid to spend your money. There’s no bonus for making it to Mexico with $1500 in your bank account.
Speaking of bank account, a building that will help the most in gaining you cash would be the Bank. Kill the teller, grab the code, and hopefully you can figure out how to turn a knob. They’re usually great sources of cash on their own.
Another thing you’ll notice early on would be Infested Towns, these are places you shouldn’t venture into during early game if you aren’t properly prepared. There’s a lot of zombies and there’s only so much you can do. Try tackling them during the morning when you’re more prepared and make sure you don’t go into an Infested Town when it becomes night time.
During the night, it’s best to stay on the move as it becomes dangerous. Three enemies can spawn; Fast Zombies, Werewolves, and Vampires. All are dangerous in their own way but the biggest threat would be the werewolves solely because of the sheer damage and HP they have. Sometimes it’s easy to get overwhelmed during the night.
In all; Fuel, Drive, Loot, Sell, Buy, Repeat, and be careful of the Night.
